  • Not for off reading

I Purchased the premium version in order to access Maps for Offroad driving and over landing. This appears to be an app for hiking only. The help files sho multi use vehicle map overlay for Forrest service road, but once I get into the app that option is not available. And even if it was available, a simple forest service road is not what most off roaders are looking for. In reading the description I thought this was going to be a way to share off road driving trails with others, including difficulty ratings and maybe photos. This app does not do anything like that. It appears to be good for using maps off-line and recording trips, but for finding off road driving trails this is not the app.
  • E-Scouting for hunting

Great app for fraction of the cost compared to On-X. When hunting borders and public, it’s essential. I use the app religiously to scout and plan all hunts and works well to download maps for areas without cellular coverage. Use in multiple states including WI, IA, NE, CO and MI. One feature I enjoy the most is the Shaded Relief overlay. Gives a great sense of how the terrain very quickly without having to decipher a topo map. Creating routes is very easy to use and gives me accurate distances for what I want to do. The recording routes is also a nice feature when tracking animals or going into a new area. Overall, great app with a lot of features for fraction of the cost.

Have used the app for several years. Great for all the hiking we have done around the country. Shows trails no other app does. Easy to use. AND, I had an issue with my upgrade subscription. Jay responded via email and resolved completely. Exceeded my expectation. He took the initiative to correct the situation and simply inform me of the change. Nice-no back and forth, etc. app continues to get updates and improve! Thanks
  • Good landing strip maker

    By ERLake
I use it to mark nice flat spots in our hunting area for landing strips. For future use. I use while driving around our area, then pace off the strip with Gaia. Love Gaia.
  • Allow USB Devices

Allow downloading offline to a iPhone/iPad USB Drive and it would be good. You can only download to internal storage.

  • Best GPS app

I’ve used Gaia GPS since it first launched and have found it to be the most intuitive and useful app. I have thousands of waypoints and tracks that I’ve accumulated over the years, well before Gaia and have used numerous devices and programs. Gaia is without question my favorite.
  • Robbery

I purchased this app years ago for 29$ I was happy with it as it was. Now it’s all about extortion, I either sign up for an annual payment or the app is all but useless. They say “I have the free version”... No, I PAID 29$ for it. I can’t even access the maps I downloaded before the changes. Was it good before? Yes. Would I recommend now? No. There are plenty of annual paid GPS options out there, there’s nothing special about this one anymore.
