  • One time buy is gone

I purchased this app years ago for $10. Now they want me to buy a subscription? I want my money back. That’s a bait and switch and these developers should be sued.
  • Depths are inaccurate, customer service non-existent

Not much else to say. I’m not sure how they gather their data, but most water ive checked with this app, the depths are WAY off. I’m not talking a couple feet. I’m talking about 10-50+ feet inaccuracy. Isn’t that why you would purchase this app?Why else would I want this app? I tried reaching out to the company but their CS is non-existent.
  • Missing basic functionality

OK, I acknowledge that at $15 it is cheaper to buy this than a single chart, so there is some value in being able to download, plot a course on, and see a visual representation of my live position versus that plot while en route. I just can’t believe there’s no active guidance to actually sail that course like the most basic handheld provides. Tell me how far to my next turn, what heading I’ll have to steer and for how long, how far I might be from the plotted course. Give me a way to confirm position with bearings to charted objects. None of this seems available even though it has access to my position thru my device’s active GPS. This seems like a total waste for anything beyond basic route planning
  • Does not work with Vesper AIS

Navionics, over all, is a great app. I have used it for years. However, the AIS connection to the Vesper AIS, device does not work. Whenever I try to connect my iPad or iPhone to the Vesper device, I just get the message that there is ‘No Internet Connection’ to the device. Of course there is no internet connection since it is just a AIS device but it still refuses to connect to my iPhone or iPad. This is hugely problematic and dangerous in rural areas where there is no cell phone signal, which provides the Navionics app with your location.
  • Problem With New Update

The new update has screwed up the fuel usage projection that appears in the trip detail. If one opens a saved route and presses “details” there appears at the top the mileage and time to destination and projected fuel usage. The latter is based on the burn rate the app user entered via the boat settings by going to Menu>>Me>>Boat Settings>>Fuel Consumption. Thus if one entered a burn rate of 26 gallons/hour and the trip is 45 minutes the projected fuel usage should be 19.5 gallons. IT SHOULD NOT BE 71.7 GALLONS WHICH APPEARS AFTER THE NEW UPDATE. I hope this clarifies my prior review and would prompt an immediate update to fix a serious problem.

Paid 15$ after preview yesterday it showed depths and details today when I look at it a lake is just blue and disappears when I zoom in. I would really like to cancel and get a refund.
  • Does not work.

I updated the app and it does not work. Requires a sign in rather than just giving you the data you need. Does not deliver on its promise to help navigate. Good thing I have a Garmin. UPDATE* tried to reinstall after the iOS update, tried to log in , and NOTHING. The company wrote me an insulting letter saying “sorry you feel this way about the app not working “. I was not giving an emotional response ..... IT DOESN’T Work! PERIOD. That is an honest review. Sorry.
  • Battery Hog of an App

Useless app if you are on a boat that can’t keep your phone plugged in. I have a 1 week old IPhone 11 Pro. Phone was 100% fully charged with NO other apps running in the background whatsoever. By this apps own clock, my phone went into low power mode at 20% in 2hrs 32 minutes of use. Fishing charts are decent, like my other Garmin products, but a dead phone isn’t very helpful when you are out for 8-10 hours and need to keep off the rocks. Disappointed to say the least.
  • Useless if I can’t renew.

  • Great App

I use this app instead of buying an expensive fish finder/chart plotter. I use it for contours and chart plotting. Always works well. My only complaint is I am not getting wave information from the bouys. Maybe there is something I am missing. Just downloaded the latest version.
